PROGRESS REPORT AND RENEWAL OF ES SCHEME

A Standing  Committee will monitor the progress of schemes to ensure that the funds are effectively utilised for maximum results.  For this purpose ESs are required to submit to CSIR every year comprehensive reports indicating the progress as on 31st of August.  The progress report alongwith “Renewal Application” in the prescribed proforma (Form-E) and list of equipment purchased from CSIR grant, if any, should be sent in time so as to reach CSIR on or before 1st of October  each year.  In the absence of completed Form-E, the scheme will not get renewed for the next financial year.

 The detailed progress reports will be reviewed twice, once after about two-and-a-half years, so that the decision to extend or not beyond the initial three year period upto maximum of 65 years of age of ES could be taken in time, and finally before termination.  The application for extension is to be made in Form-E and forwarded through the Host Institution. CSIR may obtain confidential  recommendations about extension from the head of the Host Institution.  ES should submit a detailed progress report/draft of monograph or book alongwith all reprints/preprints of publication at the time of applying for extension and termination.
